A great set of clubs

"Before buying these I tried out Wilson Di7, Mizuno MX19, Taylor Made r7, Callaway Big Bertha and Cobra FP. In the end these just edged out the FP; they were fairly even for feel, but the Nikes offered a larger set for less. I have not been disappointed - admittedly only on the range for now (due to the glorious British summer). The low-mid irons are superb at getting the ball up accurately, and the longer irons (where I struggle) give me real confidence at address, allowing me to fire them straight and on a great trajectory. Distance is good, because with the increased confidence I no longer feel the need to "whup" the ball and so play much more efficient shots in terms of power. The jury's out on the hybrid; I have a Cleveland Halo which I prefer. The Nike hybrid's a bit of a beast, not unlike a fairway wood, but would suit someone after low, penetrating shot (20 deg loft and very heavy compared to the Cleveland's 22 deg loft and scooped-out head). Thumbs up!"
